As part of the Master Programme in Public Governance in the Arab World, the University of Granada and the Fundación Euroarabe organised a seminar on Accountability, Fight against Corruption, ICTs and Open Government. Blomeyer & Sanz presented the seminar on corruption and the fight against corruption in which public and private sector professionals participated from Spain, Bahrain and Yemen.

The lecture introduced the participants to concepts relating the fight against corruption, such as integrity, accountability, transparency and citizen participation. After this, a workshop was given on how to conduct a national integrity system assessment. This can be considered a useful method to identify strengths and weaknesses in institutional systems in order to improve good governance and avoid corruption.
